Replace All of Your Missing Teeth With a Permanent, Titanium Bridge
When deciding on a dental restoration, our dentist will keep in mind the overall function of your smile. The force and alignment of your bite is just as important as the look of your teeth. These will help keep jaw movement comfortable and prevent future damage.
Missing teeth can take a toll on your self-esteem. Sharda Family Dentistry provides full restoration, whether the tooth was lost last week or last year. We believe it is never to late to have a beautiful, complete smile. Though there are many ways to restore your smile, dental implants have many advantages, including:
- Over time, implants tend to have a high success rate for many patients, with the help of effective, thorough planning.
- Unlike other restorations, implants don’t need to grind down or otherwise prepare any neighboring teeth.
- Dental implants prevent bone loss by replacing the lost root, as well as the crown, of the tooth. This provides stimulation and pressure to the jawbone, encouraging healthy growth.
- Dental implants are very durable and stable, so patients don’t have to worry about “losing” their replacement teeth.
To go over all the benefits of this procedure, plan a dental implant consultation in Creedmoor, North Carolina, today. Our dentist can go over and plan your dental implant. The implant itself is a small post made of durable titanium that is screwed into the bone of the jaw. Together with you, our dentist will recommend a restoration, such as a crown or bridge, to cover the post. Once the implant is finished, patients can easily take care of their restoration for years to come simply by brushing and flossing as normal.
A Safer Way to Place Dental Implants
Our practice is dedicated to making our procedures effective, comfortable and safe for all our patients. Part of that is using the latest tools and imaging processes to improve your care. Our CBCT (cone beam imaging) machine helps our dentist plan your treatment during your first appointment.
- First, our office will ask for your medical and dental history. This will help inform your treatment along with dental X-rays, photographs and CBCT scan.
- Like X-rays, the CBCT machine only emits a small amount of radiation, safe enough for patients of all ages. However, unlike X-rays, the cone beam technology is able to quickly take hundreds of pictures, creating a full 3D replica of your teeth, gums, jawbone and other facial structures. Using this comprehensive model, our dentist can then accurately identify issues, create custom appliances and complete your smile.
- Once the CBCT map has been created, we can then create a surgical guide for your procedure. Our dentist can then use this to place your implant at the proper angle and depth, helping ensure results.

All these factors help create a restoration that will last, fit comfortably and create a healthy smile.

FAQS
Our dentist will review each case on a patient-by-patient basis to determine who is eligible for denture-supported implants. Often, patients who already wear dentures or have lost all the teeth in a dental arch are the best candidates.
Because the posts for denture-supported implants are placed at the front of the jaw, there is often no need for tissue restoration such as a bone graft or sinus lift. Because of this, patients who are not eligible for traditional implants or fixed bridges make good All-on-4 candidates.
Unlike traditional implants, All-on-4 posts are placed in the front part of the jaw. Because the bone here is more dense, it provides a strong foundation for the new restoration. The post is also put in at an angle to better stabilize the implant and minimize the site restoration.
To restore a complete dental arch, most appointments take two hours. During the procedure, patients are put under sedation and then wake up with a full restoration!
Because the procedure is minimally invasive and is completed under sedation, patients rarely experience more than a little discomfort and swelling. Patients can also take anti-inflammatory medication before their appointment to prevent post-surgery discomfort.
With All-on-4 procedures, there is no waiting for implant sites to heal. Unlike traditional implants, your new teeth can be placed on the same day as your implant surgery.
Because of the advanced All-on-4 process, implants can be placed immediately after the extraction of the teeth. The restoration is placed on top of the implant, not the gums, so the tissue is allowed to heal following the procedure.
Treatment cost can vary, though most treatments are at about half the cost of traditional implants. Unlike other offices, we don’t need to bring in other specialists, which can bring up the cost of treatment. Come in for a meeting with our dentist to discuss any concerns you may have about the cost of All-on-4. Our office can go over how to budget your treatment.
